Welcome to “Stub’s Group”, a set of DVCC golfers that plays on
Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Generally we will have three tee times reserved, and through Golf Genius I will notify the group about a week in advance, track responses, set up the pairings and notify the players. Reminder emails about remaining open slots will be sent to those who haven’t indicated whether or not they want to sign up for that round. I will close registration four days in advance so as not to shut out other DVCC golfers from the tee sheet.
Unless a different game is specified in advance, we will play a $3 game for individual net scores. You can always tell me before we start if you would prefer not to play in the money game that day, but otherwise it is expected that you are in – even if you decide not to finish the 18 holes or you disqualify yourself during the game. [Exception: if more than half the starting group drops as a result of inclement weather, the money game is canceled that day.]
At their option, a DVCC player’s guest may play in the game if he has a GHIN handicap index.
Please indicate in your golfer profile on Golf Genius what tee you generally play from. If you decide to change tees on a particular day, let me know so I can set up the scorecards properly. If we have mixed tee groups, tee differentials will apply.
If DVCC declares a day to be “cart path only” we will follow the convention of Lift, Clean, and Place.
Before pairings have been created for a round, you can always see who has confirmed by clicking on "tee sheets" and selecting that date on the Welcome page of the Golf Genius portal.
After tee groups have been set, you can see the pairings as well as tee times still available that day for our group by looking on Golf Genius or the DVCC online tee sheet. Registration through Golf Genius will be closed when pairings are set, but you can let me know via email if you want to join the group that day and I will try and fit you in.
